The View from the Fifties

A celebration of mid-century art and design

Mid-century art and design is enjoying a renaissance at present, and fans of the period are in for a real treat with our fascinating new exhibition opening on 2nd May.<

‘The View from the Fifties’ displays selected items from our collection of original paintings, vintage prints, books, ceramics, textiles and home accessories, giving a unique insight into this vibrant period in British art and design. With pieces from well-known names, as well as some lesser known gems, the exhibition sets out to inform and inspire in equal measure.

The exhibition is open between 10 am and 4 pm from 2nd to 9th May at the Weavers Gallery in the beautiful Herefordshire market town of Ledbury. The Gallery is in Church Lane at postcode HR8 1DW. Church Lane is the cobbled street that runs from the market house on stilts to the church.

Ledbury is an attractive, interesting and ‘up and coming’ Herefordshire market town with a range of individual antiques, interiors and design shops. Its railway station has direct trains from Birmingham, London Paddington and Hereford for the north west and Wales, and the town is easily accessible from Junction 2 of the M50.

As Director of fiftiesart, I will be on hand throughout the week to share my knowledge and expertise. I hope to see you there.
