John Piper Exhibition

The exhibition

We are delighted to announce a major John Piper exhibition showing over 80 of his artworks. Taking place at The Framers Gallery, London from September 10th, the six day show will provide a chance to view fabrics, limited edition prints, paintings and drawings from this well-known British artist. All pieces will be for sale throughout the exhibition.

Known for his expressive use of colour and passion for architecture and landscapes, John Piper is one of the main figures of 20th century art and design. His joyful and dynamic work makes his style a standout among art collectors and enthusiasts. The exhibition will include pieces that capture scenes and landscapes throughout England, Scotland and Wales and into France and Italy.

Fifties Art founder, Dr Richard Turkington will be on hand throughout the exhibition to provide insight and comment on John Piper’s work.

I’m passionately keen on the work of John Piper. My stepmother’s father used to work closely with the artist in relation the Shell Guides, and the family has one or two of his works.

Growing up in Marlow, I’m, of course, with the Chiltern landscape where Piper lived and worked. I’m a freelance journalist, and like to write about art when possible.

It may be possible for me to be in London on Monday night. If so, may I join your private view? That would be a real treat.

I’d be grateful for your steer.

    Many thanks.

    Kind regards

    Julia Bryan
