It has been signed and titled by the artist and is a limited edition numbered 71 of 100.  There are a few minor spots of ‘foxing’ to the border but otherwise in very good condition. Published by Editions Electo.

Artist description:

Artist and printmaker, Helena Markson was born in London and studied at Salisbury School of Art then at Central School of Art from 1952-56. From 1963-1966 she co-directed the first open ‘Fine Art Printmaking Workshop’ in London. She set up the etching studio at Byam Shaw School of Painting, London and taught at Chelsea College of Art and St Martin’s School of Art. She moved to Israel in 1970 where she co-founded the Art Department at the University of Haifa and later set up the Fine Art Print Studios where she taught lithography and etching until 2002. The first of many solo shows was held at the Alecto Gallery in London in 1964 and her work is included in many collections including the Tate Gallery, the Wales National Museum and the Museum of Modern Art in New York. Helena Markson’s beautiful prints are now in collections across the world. In recognition of the growing appreciation of her work, Sansom and Company published Emma Mason’s excellent ‘Helena Markson.
