Description: a typically powerful and vibrant watercolour from this highly collectable Welsh artist, although the sublect is a National Park in County Clare, Ireland. Completed in the 1980s, it shouldn’t be in this collection really, but I just couldn’t resist including it. Framed.

Artist description:
A painter born in Devil’s Bridge, Cardiganshire, she trained at Cardiff College of Art between 1951 and 1955. She was a visiting lecturer at Dyfed College of Art and an extramural lecturer at the University of Wales, Aberystwyth. Jones has held many exhibitions including at Aberystwyth University Gallery 1966, Arts Centre Shrewsbury, 1967, Derwent College, York University, 1971 and Upper Street Gallery, London, 1971. Examples of her work are in the collections of the National Museum of Wales, National Library of Wales and BBC Wales.
